The 2007 Club Championship is under way. As in previous years the onus is on members to let me know the points they’ve earned. There are just too many events out there for me to spot everyone's racing successes.

So how do you earn your championship points...

To qualify for the Club Championships you must be a member of gearsandtears.club and enter your chosen events in the name of gearsandtears.com.

Your best five results count and points will be awarded on the following basis:

• 1 point for each event entered in the club name. A bonus point if that event is one organised by gearsandtears.com if you place within the top 10 of your age group you score extra points (10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd etc.)
• if you gain selection to represent your country as a result of your performance a bonus 5 points
• if you beat your previous personal best at your chosen race distance you get a bonus 3 points. (If you are debuting at a distance you will receive a bonus 2 points)
• 2 points for marshalling at any gearsandtears.com event
