Eco Trail Paris 16-Mar-2013

I took part in this event in 2011. There is a choice of race distances, with the 80km route finishing on the steps of the Eiffel Tower. It is a very well organised, & very friendly event. The event route is mainly on trails & is very well marked. The checkpoints are well stocked & finish at the Eiffel Tower spectacular. Highly recommended. I will definitely be back to take on this event again.

Mozart100 22-Jun-2013

I took part in this event in 2012. The first year it was held & had a fantastic time. There is a choice of race options including 100km & 54km. The route takes takes the participants from Mozartplatz, in Salzburg along the Salzach through one of the most magnificent regions of Austria with its beautiful forests, meadows, hills, rivers and towns to the Fuschlsee lake and back again. Another friendly, well run event.

TransPyr 30-Jun-2012

The TransPyr (www.transpyr.com) is a mountain bike stage ‘race’ that starts at the Mediterranean Sea & traverses the Pyrennes to finish at the Atlantic. Mountain Bike UK magazine rated it in the top 5 toughest mountain bike stage races in the world. Much more importantly it is organised by Oriol & Francesc Sallent who are passionate about the event & are supported by a hugely committed & dedicated team. There is also rumour that a road based version of the event is in the pipeline. Watch this space.
